On the instruction of Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, his deputy Andrii Besedin held a meeting with the families of missing, captive and fallen servicemen. The event was attended by deputies of the Kharkiv Regional Council, heads of the Department for Veterans Affairs of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and of the municipal institution “Veteran Space ‘Plich-o-plich’”, representatives of law enforcement agencies, of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Kharkiv Region and of public veteran organisations.

“Supporting defenders, both men and women, and their families remains one of the priorities of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. It is important for us not simply to hear about problems but to communicate directly with people, understand their needs and together look for effective ways to resolve specific issues. Every family that is waiting for a loved one to return, is experiencing a loss or is overcoming difficult life circumstances must feel that it is not left alone with its problems. Our shared task is to ensure real support from the state and local authorities. I proposed to hold, in the near future, separate professional meetings with initiative veteran groups in order to work through specific cases in detail, determine ways to resolve them and, if necessary, improve the work of regional state authorities in implementing veterans policy,” said Andrii Besedin, deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
