On January 30, a round table “Procedure for Practical Training and Model Student Employment Contract: Discussion of Drafts and Formulation of Recommendations” took place.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and the EdUP project (Swisscontact Ukraine).
More than 150 participants took part – online and offline. Among them was the deputy head of the Institute of Veterans “Architecture of Resilience” of KNUBA, Yevhen Komarov.
They discussed options for involving students in vocational education in employment while they are still studying.
Maryna Rudnytskykh, Senior Legal Expert of the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, noted that under the new Law “On Vocational Education,” the student employment contract will from now on be concluded directly between the student and the employer. Students will receive payment for work-based practice directly, not through the educational institution. Once approved, the model student employment contract presented by the experts can be used by enterprises and businesses during students’ work-based practice.
