“NIKO SpecAvto” has started production of armored pickups
After the start of the full-scale invasion, the NIKO group of companies, which has operated successfully in Ukraine and the EU countries for over 30 years, expanded its activity. On the basis of LLC “NIKO SpecAvto”, a new line of business was opened – certified production of armored specialized military-purpose vehicles of the pickup type. The new pickup, named “NIKO”, was developed as a universal vehicle platform based on the “Isuzu D-Max”
After the start of the full-scale invasion, the NIKO group of companies, which has operated successfully in Ukraine and the EU countries for over 30 years, expanded its activity. On the basis of LLC “NIKO SpecAvto”, a new line of business was opened – certified production of armored specialized military-purpose vehicles of the pickup type.
The new pickup, named “NIKO”, was developed as a universal vehicle platform based on the “Isuzu D-Max” and is equipped with armor protection (AP).
As noted by the CEO of “NIKO SpecAvto” Denys Fomenko: “Outwardly our pickup is no different from an ordinary car, yet each unit is the result of a symbiosis of advanced armoring technologies, perfect design and high quality. Every detail is created with maximum attention to safety and technological progress. Despite the increased weight, the vehicle has retained its maneuverability and driving safety.”
Denys Fomenko also added that by the end of 2024 the company plans to produce about 30 such pickups to meet the needs of certain structures performing specialized tasks.
According to the company, the load capacity of the “NIKO” pickup is 1100 kg, which is 35% higher than the load capacity of analogues in the same class and price range, such as the Toyota Hilux and SsangYong Musso. This makes it possible to use the vehicle as effectively as possible for cargo transportation and other specialized tasks.
The vehicle is also equipped with a winch with a pulling force of 7620 kg (16,800 LBS) for lifting and towing off-road, which makes it indispensable in search and rescue operations and on expeditions.
The technical characteristics, maneuverability, off-road capabilities, the possibility of installing additional equipment, and the cost make the “NIKO” pickup ideal for tasks of any complexity.
