In today's realities, knowing the basics of medical care for injuries and wounds in children is becoming a necessity not only for medical professionals but also for the general public. Key aspects of medical care for injuries
Injuries and wounds in children are a serious problem that requires an immediate and correct response. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the number of injuries among children has been steadily rising in recent years. In the past year alone, nearly 97500 Ukrainians sought medical care for injuries of varying severity sustained in falls and other accidents.
According to the latest data, more than 1806 children in Ukraine have been affected by hostilities. According to information from juvenile prosecutors, 537 children were killed and more than 1269 sustained injuries of varying severity. The largest numbers of affected children were registered in the following regions: Donetsk region – 524, Kharkiv – 343, Kherson – 149, Kyiv – 130, Dnipropetrovsk – 125, Mykolaiv – 103 and Zaporizhzhia – 100.
“Among the main causes of early death in injuries are contusions of the central nervous system and bleeding. It is important to know that timely first aid can save a life and significantly reduce the risk of serious health consequences,” Boliuk explained.
As Maksym Urakin, founder of the information and analytical center Experts Club, stated, the project has been and continues to be engaged in all types of assistance to the civilian population during hostilities.
“According to UN data, about 11 thousand civilians have already been killed in Ukraine over 2 years, of whom about 600 are children. After the completed project “Find Loved Ones,” we are directing our efforts to medical training in first aid for adults and children, and we hold practical seminars for journalists and teachers to give them practical skills that can save the health and lives of those affected,” Urakin emphasized.

- Calling emergency medical services immediately: in the case of serious injuries, it is necessary to seek professional medical help as soon as possible.
