I’ll be frank: I know the statistics of implant placement in Ukraine well. Our clinic performs the largest number of breast augmentation operations in the country, so we see the real figures. And I say responsibly: talk about ‘naturalness’ is mostly PR moves by bloggers and opinion leaders who want to stand out against the background of the general popularity of plastic surgery. In fact, a real boom in breast and lip augmentation is under way right now — and it is not subsiding. And, interestingly, we sell more round implants than anatomical ones, and this trend has been strengthening over the past three years, since the start of the full-scale war,” he said. According to Derbak, “today, compared with the pre-war period, the implant volume has increased.” “Over the past year, the average implant size has been plus or minus 400 ml. So I would say that stories about naturalness are rather a case of passing off the desired as the actual. In fact, this does not exist,” he said.
