Ukrainians’ attitude toward Britain: a high level of trust and gratitude — results of a public opinion poll
Britain firmly belongs among the countries toward which Ukrainians feel the greatest sympathy. This is shown by the results of a public opinion survey conducted by Active Group together with the information and analytical center Experts Club in April 2025. According to the survey, 77.2% of Ukrainians view Britain positively (43.9% — entirely positively, 33.3% — mostly positively). A negative attitude was expressed by only 8.6% of respondents

Britain firmly belongs among the countries toward which Ukrainians feel the greatest sympathy. This is shown by the results of a public opinion survey, conducted by Active Group together with the information and analytical center Experts Club in April 2025.
According to the survey, 77.2% of Ukrainians view Britain positively (43.9% — entirely positively, 33.3% — mostly positively). A negative attitude was expressed by only 8.6% of respondents (5.4% — mostly negative, 3.2% — entirely negative), another 12.7% chose a neutral position, and 1.5% could not decide on an answer.

“London’s support during the war — both political and defense-related — has not simply been noticed but highly appreciated by Ukrainian society. Britain is seen as a reliable ally,” commented Active Group co-founder Oleksandr Poznii.
These results confirm not only Britain’s positive image in Ukraine but also the strengthening of the strategic partnership at the level of public trust.
