“To receive the trust for the third time to carry out the duties of the Croatian parliament is an extraordinary honor. We live in a dangerous historical period: war in Ukraine and in the Middle East, we cannot avoid the fact that the neighborhood is also a potential source of instability, we face the challenges of climate change and disruptions in global supply chains,” Jandroković said.
After several weeks of negotiations, a coalition was formed in parliament, comprising the HDZ and the Homeland Movement. Croatian prime minister Andrej Plenković said that the program of the new government's activities is being finalized.
At the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the parliament and government of Croatia expressed support for Ukraine, for granting it the status of a candidate country for EU membership, and for providing economic support.
