KNUBA is developing concrete for 3D printing buildings from the debris of destroyed structures
Scientists at KNUBA, together with partners, have launched an international project, “Development of new approaches and structural materials for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure in Ukraine with environmental sustainability in mind.” ♻️ The goal of the project is to create novel concrete mixes using waste, in particular from destroyed structures, for construction by 3D printing and by traditional methods. The project will run for 2 years. 🌐 The new material and the technology for using it will be used

Scientists at KNUBA, together with partners, have launched an international project, “Development of new approaches and structural materials for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure in Ukraine with environmental sustainability in mind.”
♻️ The goal of the project is to create novel concrete mixes using waste, in particular from destroyed structures, for construction by 3D printing and by traditional methods. The project will run for 2 years.
🌐 The new material and the technology for using it will be used in Ukraine, Poland and the United States to build civilian and military structures and constructions.
🏚 Rebuilding housing in Ukraine requires the introduction of universal rapid-construction technologies that make it possible to erect durable and affordable buildings.
Compared with traditional construction methods, 3D concrete printing can deliver faster building rates, significantly less use of human labor, and savings in materials and energy.
