The festival is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Ukraine together with the film company “Arthouse Traffic”, with the support of general partner AMIC ENERGY.
The program of this year’s festival includes the most interesting films of Austrian cinema of recent years.

The film festival opened with a screening of the drama “A Whole Life” (Ein ganzes Leben) directed by Hans Steinbichler, based on the bestseller of the same name by Robert Seethaler. The opening film was presented by the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine, Dr. Arad Benkö.
After the film festival ends, general partner AMIC ENERGY will donate, as a sign of support and respect for the indomitable Ukrainian people, an amount equivalent to the festival’s box office takings.

All films will be shown in the original language with Ukrainian subtitles.
Diplomats from various countries also took part in the event: Antal Heizer, Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine; Valeriu Chiveri, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine; Elena Leticia Teresa Mikusinski, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine; and Radek Pech, Ambassador of Czechia to Ukraine.
Austrian Film Week has been held in Ukraine every year for more than 11 years. The only exception, because of the war, was 2022.
