Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador noted that India attaches paramount importance to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine in this difficult time, following the human-centric approach of the Government of India, which is a central principle of the national beliefs and values of India, which regards the whole world as one family.
He confirmed the commitment of the Government of India to continue providing humanitarian support to the people of Ukraine, as conveyed by Shri Narendra Modi, India's prime minister, to Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyi during their meeting in Hiroshima in May 2023.

The Government of India had earlier provided 15 batches of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and neighboring countries, as well as financial assistance to the “Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages No. 1” for a project to reconstruct, redesign and renovate some premises, and to the “Ukraine–India” Association for a program aimed at restoring the psychological health of young people and children.
