At the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, there was held a large-scale international scientific and practical conference “Synergy of Tourism, Hospitality and Creative Industries: Science, Education, Practice”, which became an important platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among representatives of the academic community, business, the public sector and civic initiatives.
The event brought together experts working at the intersection of tourism, the physical culture and sports sector and the creative industries — sectors that today play an ever greater role not only in the country's economic development but also in creating new social opportunities, in particular for war veterans.
The speech by Viktor Korzh, director of the Training and Rehabilitation Center of the NUFVSU, drew particular attention from the participants. In his report he presented the opportunities of the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine for education and retraining, paying special attention to the university's scientific and pedagogical potential and its sporting traditions, and comprehensively outlined the approaches to the rehabilitation and reintegration of veterans that are now taking shape at the center.
Viktor Korzh stressed that the modern system of veteran support must go beyond the traditional medical approach. According to him, effective reintegration is possible only when physical rehabilitation, psychological support, educational programs and opportunities for professional fulfillment work in synergy.
“Today we speak of reintegration as a multi-level process. It is not only recovery after injuries, but also the formation of a new life direction for a person. Through sport, education and retraining, we create an environment in which a veteran can not merely adapt, but become an active participant in society and the economy again,” Viktor Korzh emphasized.
The speech presented the key areas of the center's work:
— introduction of physical and sports rehabilitation programs;
— development of adaptive sport as a tool of socialization;
— educational initiatives and retraining of veterans;

Particular emphasis was placed on the potential of the tourism and the physical culture and sports sectors as an environment for employing veterans. These very industries, according to the speaker, are highly flexible, open to new personnel and able to adapt skills quickly.
Viktor Korzh also noted the importance of cooperation among universities, business and government bodies in creating comprehensive reintegration programs. Such interaction makes it possible not only to improve the quality of specialist training but also to provide veterans with real career opportunities after they complete their studies.
The conference participants actively discussed the role of the creative industries in the country's recovery, in particular their influence on the formation of a new economy, the development of local brands and the creation of an inclusive environment. In this context, the experience of the Training and Rehabilitation Center of the NUFVSU was noted as one example of the effective integration of a social mission with educational and practical activity.
The conference demonstrated that the synergy of science, education and practice is a key condition for creating sustainable solutions in the field of veteran reintegration. It is precisely such platforms that make it possible to develop new approaches that take into account both the economic and the social challenges of our time.
Summing up, the participants of the event reached a common conclusion: the future development of tourism, hospitality and creative industries in Ukraine is inseparably linked to their social responsibility. And including veterans in these processes is not only a matter of support but also a powerful resource for the development of society as a whole.
